EBF Music Boosters Issue Challenge Grant
At the end of the EBF Music Booster’s monthly meeting, Joe Overton suggested that the Music Boosters should make a donation to the Jr./Sr. High’s Positive Behavior and Instructional Supports (PBIS) initiative. The Boosters decided unanimously to make a $500 grant to the PBIS initiative attached with a challenge that other EBF organizations and local companies match their grant to help support the efforts to reward positive behavior in the school. Students have been earning SOAR tickets since the school year began and can turn them in for a variety of prizes or privileges matching the amount they have earned, ranging from purchasing school supplies to an entrance ticket to win the grand prize: an iPad Mini. The Music Boosters acknowledge how music positively impacts students and wishes support the efforts to create a supportive, positive school climate with pride for Rocket performance in all activities as well as performance in school and character as people. If you are interested in accepting this challenge, please contact Christopher Ellerston at [email protected]. You can also learn more by visiting the PBIS website at www.ebf-pbis.weebly.com.
